Beginning Watercolor Classes

This watercolor workshop is for beginning and intermediate students ages 14+. Each student will learn basic color theory along with drawing and painting techniques during two introductory classes. The focus will be on working with a limited palette and on both wet and dry surfaces while exploring basic techniques.
Students will create a color wheel and a Still Life Fruit image during the first session, and a Floral image during the second session.
All materials are included: watercolors, paper, printed references and simple palettes; brushes are provided, but students may bring their own if they wish.
About the Instructor: Rebecca Peters MS. Art Ed.
Rebecca is a visual artist, art educator and curator. Her work has been shown locally and at Plein Air Painting events. She has taught art in both public and private schools along with continuing education classes. She has taught watercolor classes for 15 years and has provided art instruction for individuals with developmental disabilities for many years. Rebecca has a background in drawing, painting and printmaking.
