Women of WWII: On the Front Lines & the Home Front

Join author and public speaker Barb Warner Deane to learn about the Clubmobile program and the many ways American women helped win World War II.

During the war, American women took on new roles in the military and as civilians. Beyond Rosie the Riveter and the Atomic Girls, women contributed to the war effort through the American Red Cross Clubmobile program. These mobile clubs served doughnuts, coffee, and “good old American girl-next-door friendliness” to troops on the front lines in Europe, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia. Barb Warner Deane will speak about Clubmobile girls from Central NY.
