Join the Love Albany Egg Hunt, a free family event returning to Washington Park on April 4. The event features 19,000 eggs and a full schedule of activities, including hotdogs and therapy dog visits from the Albany Police Department, a rock wall climb by the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, a 1K Bunny Fun Run by Cap City Runners, a Bunny Photobooth from the City of Albany Office of Cultural Affairs, music by DJ Intell Hayesfield, and bounce houses, lawn games, and popcorn provided by Christ’s Church Albany & Love Albany.
Raffles will offer prizes such as books from Paper Pie, a family four-pack of tickets for the Albany Firebirds, and gift cards to local businesses. Families can connect with many local organizations. All food and activities are free except for ice cream, which can be purchased from the Emack & Bolio truck.
Schedule:
- 11:45 – Registration & Nonprofit Tables Open
- 12:00 – Festival Activities Begin
- 12:20 – Bunny Fun Run for Kids
- 1:00 – Egg Hunt (fields marked by age group: 0-Pre-K, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5)
- 1:15 – Mascot Dance-Off
- 1:20 – Raffle Drawing
The event will take place rain or shine. If needed, it will move indoors to the Love Albany Center at 8 Kate St.
