Sirsy – 8/22

We’re thrilled to welcome one of our favorite duos back to the 443 on August 22 — SIRSY!

SIRSY is fronted by powerhouse vocalist Melanie (Mel) Krahmer, described as “one of the most powerful & flexible voices you’ll ever hear.” Aftertaste Magazine said, “Bursting and belting out emotion and substance, she can be the queen of ‘in the groove’ rocking or be simple and delicate.” Mel also plays a full drum kit while standing, has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine, and is endorsed by Paiste Cymbals and Vater Percussion. At live shows she plays bass parts with a drum stick on a keyboard mounted on her drums and sometimes adds a flute solo.

Guitarist Rich Libutti plays a road-worn Rickenbacker through vintage effects. “The guitar player is flawless and raw. Clean enough to be enjoyed, and just edgy enough to make you grin.” Live, Rich also plays bass on a keyboard with his feet.

Sirsy has toured heavily, playing over 250 shows per year for the last 10 years and averaging about 60,000 miles a year in their little white van named "Miles." They’ve opened for acts such as Maroon 5, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Train, RaRaRiot, Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul, Lifehouse, Blues Traveler, and Cheap Trick. They’ve played official showcases at CMJ and SXSW and venues like The Viper Room and Gramercy Theater. Both Mel and Rich have theatre backgrounds, and their energetic live show often includes stories and laughter from the stage. As Mel says, "there is no sadness there" — on stage they radiate joy: "It’s just us being free and playing music."

- The 443 is an intimate listening room with table service that seats 75 people.
- Most seats are sold as 'Tables for Two' — each ticket admits two people.
- A limited number of single seats are available; single attendees may share a table.
- Multiple tickets purchased under the same name will be seated together (up to 6 people).
- Requesting a specific table is a perk reserved for VIP Patron members.
- If anyone in your party needs special seating arrangements (walker, cane, service animal, wheelchair, low table requirement, or you want to be seated with another party), email the venue after you place your order and they will assist.
- All tickets are WILL CALL — no need to print anything; give your name at the door.
