About

Artist Talk — Upstate Art Weekend: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11 AM

With curator Richard Saja, art critic Matt Moment, Stella Yoon (Executive Director, CREATE Council on the Arts), and exhibition artists.

Free, reservations recommended.

In conjunction with Surface, Structure, String: Hudson Valley Textile Art Now.

Surface, Structure, String celebrates the remarkable diversity of textile practices throughout our region. Featuring hand-dyed fabrics, conceptual embroidery, fiber-based sculpture, and immersive large-scale installations, this exhibition honors longstanding textile traditions while spotlighting artists who are redefining the medium as conceptually rigorous, socially engaged, and deeply connected to place.

Hudson Hall’s programs are made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

This project has been supported by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.

Supported by:
- The Spark of Hudson
- The Dyson Foundation
- Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation
- Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation
- Children’s Foundation of Columbia County
- Alexander & Marjorie Hover Foundation

This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
