The Capital District Scottish Games will take place on September 5, 2026, at the Altamont Fairgrounds, 129 Grand Street, Altamont, NY 12009.
This event features a variety of Scottish cultural activities, including:
- Pipe Band Events
- Highland Athletics
- Highland Dancing
- Stage Bands
- Children's Events
- Clans & Societies
- Golf Tournament
- On-site camping
There are also vendors and information about hotels and lodging for attendees.
Tickets are available now online and at the gates for $25. Children 12 years of age and younger are free at the gates. Free parking is included. Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount on gate admission by showing ID at the gate; this discount applies only to the service member and is available at the gate on the day of admission.
Contest registrations are open for Pipe Band, Solo Contests, and Highland Dance. For more details or to register, specific links are provided for each contest on the event website.
The event is open to all ages and is host to a wide range of community and cultural activities celebrating Scottish heritage.
