Lez Zeppelin — All Girls. All Zeppelin.
Lez Zeppelin is a phenomenon. Since their formation in 2004, the group has stunned audiences all over the world with the musicianship, passion and gender-bending audacity they bring to the music of Led Zeppelin. Unlike the typical “tribute band” Lez Zeppelin does not seek to imitate. Rather, they are a she-incarnation of the original. With swagger, intensity and virtuosity, these four women cover the entire canon, performing hits, deep tracks, epic compositions and acoustic numbers with utmost authenticity, as if they’d written the music themselves.
Jimmy Page described it best after attending a Lez Zeppelin show in London: “They played the Led Zeppelin music with an extraordinary sensuality and an energy and passion that highlighted their superb musicianship.”
Lez Zeppelin celebrates the 50th anniversary of the release of Led Zeppelin’s concert film The Song Remains the Same. In honor of that anniversary, the all-female quartet—personally endorsed by Jimmy Page, according to the announcement—will perform the soundtrack from The Song Remains the Same in its entirety, accompanied by a multimedia presentation inspired by the original movie.
"This film and soundtrack are sacred ground for Zeppelin fans and musicians alike," says Steph Paynes, founder and guitarist of Lez Zeppelin. "To play it from top to bottom -- complete with the cinematic scope and improvisational fire of the original -- is a challenge we embrace with deep reverence and fierce joy."
The tour will feature renditions of classics like “No Quarter,” “Dazed and Confused,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” and “Stairway to Heaven.” Each show is presented as an immersive experience designed to channel the mystique and raw power of The Song Remains the Same.
