About
Since scoring a worldwide smash with her debut album Eye to the Telescope in 2004, which went on to sell over 5 million copies, KT Tunstall has remained at the forefront of UK singer-songwriter talent. The album is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Tunstall outsold every other female artist in the UK in 2005, won the 2006 Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist, an Ivor Novello Award for Best Song for her self-penned hit “Suddenly I See,” and a Q Award for Track of the Year. She also received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. “Suddenly I See” featured in the iconic opening scene of the Meryl Streep film The Devil Wears Prada.
Several critically acclaimed albums followed, culminating in a trilogy on the theme of Mind, Body and Soul: the 2016 Top 10 album KIN, WAX in 2018, and most recently, NUT (2022). KT has toured and collaborated with artists including The Pretenders, Simple Minds, Hall and Oates, Roger Daltrey, and Barenaked Ladies. Her awards include the Inspirational Artist gong at the Women in Music Awards and, in 2024, an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection.
In 2025, she performed a collection of Eye to the Telescope 20th anniversary shows, including two electric gigs in Glasgow at the Royal Concert Hall and Barrowlands as part of Celtic Connections. She also headlined London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 23, her 50th birthday. The show featured special guest appearances from Sir Roger Daltrey, Jools Holland, Mel C, Natalie Imbruglia, and Rick Astley.
KT wrote the music for the stage musical of the 1990s film Clueless, which opened in London’s West End in February 2025 and will tour in 2026. Several other theatre projects are forthcoming. KT toured Australia and New Zealand earlier this year and played UK and European summer festivals, including opening for Robbie Williams in Florence, Italy. In August, she headlined the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, broadcast live from Glasgow, Scotland.
KT is currently on tour across the U.S. with O.A.R. and Gavin DeGraw. She will continue her tour in March and April 2027 in the UK and Europe, performing in arenas alongside Brandi Carlile.
