About

Now announcing… the NEXT Art. Work. Space. Youth Art Workshop: Mixed Media with Artist Tracy Loring!

When: Saturday, March 14, 2026, Noon – 3 p.m.

Register (free) by Thursday, 3/12. Registration is REQUIRED. Please include a valid email with registration.

🎨 About the workshop: Join local artist and instructor Tracy Loring in this playful mixed media workshop where we explore composition in varying scales. Youth will use tape to block out a mix of big and little shapes on paper, creating bold spaces for one large image, tiny mini-artworks, or a fun combination of both. Participants will experiment with paint, markers, collage papers, and other materials to fill each shape with color, patterns, and texture. Then we’ll peel off our tape to reveal crisp lines and surprising compositions that bring the whole piece together.

This workshop will spark imagination, teach composition through scale, and give participants a satisfying reveal that feels like a creative surprise every time!

About the Artist: Tracy Loring is a painter, art instructor, and life coach with a mission to inspire joy through creativity. Deeply inspired by nature, especially trees, flowers, and organic forms, her work leans toward abstraction and celebrates color, texture, and intuitive expression. Whether she is painting or teaching, Tracy invites curiosity, play, and presence into the creative process. Through her artwork and workshops, she aims to help others see art as an accessible, joyful way to connect with themselves and the beauty of everyday life.
