Now announcing… the NEXT Art. Work. Space. Youth Art Workshop: Mixed Media with Artist Tracy Loring!
Happening Saturday, March 14, 2026, from Noon – 3 p.m. Register (free) by Thursday, 3/12. Registration is REQUIRED; space is limited. Please include a valid email with registration.
🎨 About the workshop: Join local artist and instructor Tracy Loring in this playful mixed media workshop exploring composition in varying scales. Youth will use tape to block out big and little shapes on paper to create bold spaces for one large image, tiny mini-artworks, or a combination of both. Participants will experiment with paint, markers, collage papers, and other materials to fill each shape with color, patterns, and texture. Then we’ll peel off the tape to reveal crisp lines and surprising compositions.
This workshop will spark imagination, teach composition through scale, and give participants a satisfying reveal that feels like a creative surprise every time!
About the artist: Tracy Loring is a painter, art instructor, and life coach who aims to inspire joy through creativity. Deeply inspired by nature—trees, flowers, and organic forms—her work leans toward abstraction and celebrates color, texture, and intuitive expression. She invites curiosity, play, and presence into the creative process.
