The founder of Young Futures, James Mitchell, partnered with the Alice Moore Black Arts & Cultural Center to offer a 10-week Financial Literacy Art Program for youth ages 7–13.
The Financial Art Class introduces young people to important financial terms, concepts, and healthy money habits while connecting those lessons to hands-on art activities. Through creative and kinesthetic learning, youth strengthen their understanding of money in an engaging, practical, and fun way.
Participants create artwork, reinforce financial literacy fundamentals, and have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned through their creative work.
Building a healthy relationship with money starts with a strong foundation. By combining financial education with art and hands-on activities, the program helps make concepts that can sometimes feel complicated more accessible and meaningful for young people.
