Dead Man’s Waltz live at The Barn

About

Dead Man’s Waltz brings together the classic songs and jams of The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, and The Band in one free-spirited performance. An all-star collective born out of the Northeast festival scene, DMW honors these legendary groups while putting their own dynamic spin on a vast catalog of beloved songs that have become part of the American songbook.

At its heart, the project celebrates the deep tradition of crossover between The Dead, The Allmans, and The Band—most famously at the 1973 Summer Jam at Watkins Glen—by crafting adventurous arrangements that flow seamlessly from the familiar to the unexpected. You might hear "Jessica" slide into "Going Down the Road Feeling Bad," "Don't Do It" into "Cripple Creek," or "They Love Each Other" into "Midnight Rider." Always fresh, always improvisational, DMW turns each show into a colorful, communal party.

With a two-drummer lineup that echoes both The Dead and The Allmans, Dead Man’s Waltz features:
- Rev Tor Krautter (guitar, vocals)
- Tom Major (drums)
- Parker McQueeney (keys, vocals)
- Wesley Childers (guitar, vocals)
- Jeff Prescott (drums, vocals)
- Brian O’Connell (bass, vocals)

Catch Dead Man’s Waltz live at The Barn — a night where timeless music, adventurous spirit, and jam-band energy collide.
