The Great Basin Fiber Arts Fair is a non-profit event dedicated to promoting fiber arts as both historical and thriving art forms. It is held in Arena 2 at the north end of the Western Sports Park (25 N. Sports Park Way, Farmington, Utah 84025) in April 2027.
Marketplace and schedule:
- Marketplace open Friday and Saturday, 10:00am–5:00pm.
- In-person fiber arts classes run all day Friday and Saturday. Topics include knitting, spinning, crochet, felting, dyeing, weaving, rug making, and more.
- Demonstrations and workshops led by members of the fiber arts community.
- Fiber After-Party: Friday, 6:00pm–9:00pm.
Admission:
- The Fair is free and welcomes everyone.
Volunteer opportunities:
- Roles include Welcome Table, Classroom Check-In, and Set Up/Take Down.
- Volunteers can sign up online and receive fiber-based thank-you gifts.
Parking and RVs:
- Parking provided in lot D, south of Arena 2.
- RV spots with hookups are available for rental through Western Sports Park.
- Additional RV parking is permitted in parking lots; restroom and shower access may be possible.
- Tenting is not allowed on site.
- Free overnight RV parking is also available nearby at Bass Pro Shops and Wal-Mart.
Nearby lodging and accessibility:
- Several hotels are close by, including discounted options at the Hampton Inn Farmington and Hyatt Place Farmington.
- Service animals are allowed in the Fair buildings; other pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.
