Freedom’s Light Festival is a free, family-friendly three-day event celebrating American history and the United States Constitution. It takes place September 17–19, 2026, at Bountiful City Park (400 N 200 W, Bountiful, UT), marking America’s 250th anniversary since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The festival brings history to life with live reenactments, hands-on activities, and interactive storytelling. Guests can experience scheduled attractions throughout each day.
Schedule:
- Thursday, September 17 (9am–4pm): Booths are open; Recitations of the Declaration of Independence; Appearances by Frederick Douglass; Soldier March
- Friday, September 18 (9am–9pm): Booths are open; Multiple recitations of the Declaration of Independence; Frederick Douglass appearances; Give Me Liberty Musical; Lantern Light Reel & Revel (Open Dance)
- Saturday, September 19 (9am–4pm): Booths are open; Musket and Cannon Firings; Candy Cannon; Give Me Liberty Musical
Attendees will encounter Founding Fathers and Mothers, Revolutionary leaders, colonial artisans, Continental soldiers, and other historical figures in costume.
Activities include Revolutionary War reenactments and musket demonstrations, artisan demonstrations, food booths, and a colonial book and gift store. The festival welcomes adults, teens, and kids, with special activities for each age group. Admission is free and no registration is mentioned.
