Think you can find the treasure? This September, Snowbasin is hiding a treasure chest somewhere along its 27-mile trail system. Inside is a key that unlocks the ultimate prize package. Grab your hiking boots or hop on the gondola, explore the mountain, and see if you can track it down during Snowbasin Treasure Hunt Weekend.
The hunt begins Saturday, September 26 at 9am, when the first clue is released. The treasure chest will be hidden on the mountain before the hunt kicks off.
The treasure could be anywhere along the 27 miles of trails, but it will always be within 5 feet of either side of a trail. For your safety and the safety of others, please stay on the trails.
When you find the treasure, call the number listed on the key and snap a selfie with it where you found it. Once you’ve made it safely back down the mountain, head to the Gondola Cabin on Earl’s Plaza to claim your prize package.
The fastest way up the mountain is the gondola. Ride up and back down, ride up and hike down, or hike up and ride down—whatever adventure you prefer.
If the treasure hasn’t been found by the end of gondola operations on Sunday, it will be removed and hidden again the following Saturday, and the hunt starts all over again.
Hours: Saturday, September 26 at 9am to Sunday, September 27 at 5pm
