Starry Nights @the Plaza features three groups from the Mountaintop Music Institute, an outdoor movie, and food trucks.
Lineup:
- 5:30 p.m. – Food trucks arrive.
- 6 p.m. – Fusion Fallout (pop, rock, dance). Taking their cue from the local music scene, Fusion Fallout covers the top-40 songs of today, yesterday and the previous century. With real-life training from experts in the cover band business, this band is sure to have you moving and grooving.
- 7 p.m. – Streetlight Syndicate (pop, rock, dance). Comprised of talented musicians ages 15-18, the band brings contemporary music styles to life. Their dedicated musicianship and unique style push them beyond "garage band."
- 8 p.m. – Blue Note Big Band (jazz, big band, pop). The band brings the timeless music of the Great American Songbook to life. Enjoy the sounds of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald and more. Find sample music from all three bands on SoundCloud.
- 9 p.m. – Movie Night, showing "National Treasure." This is an interactive movie with Taylorsville Library, featuring prompts and a small bag of props (while supplies last) for the audience to cheer or boo along.

The Starry Nights event, including the music and movie, is free, so bring your friends or family for an evening out together on the plaza. Look for something happening every Friday night on the plaza through Sept. 25.
