About

Experience the thrill of witnessing a rehabilitated bird of prey take flight as they rejoin the wilds. This very special event takes place on just a few select dates each summer in collaboration with Great Basin Wildlife Rescue at our mountaintop Bearclaw Cabin.

Before the bird’s release, a fascinating educational session takes place in which guests learn about the bird’s distinct characteristics, behaviors, and environment. Then, the big moment: a majestic creature returns to the place they belong, after weeks or months of rehabilitation labor and hope on the part of both the rescuers and the birds.

  • No ticket required to attend.
  • You do need a ticket if you want to ride the trio of scenic chairlifts to the mountaintop.
  • The program begins promptly at 1pm. Please board Outlaw Express Lift by noon to ensure ample time to reach the summit.
