About

Freedom’s Light Festival is a free, three-day event celebrating the American Constitution and the nation's founding. The festival marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and features live reenactments, hands-on activities, and interactive storytelling for all ages.

Dates: September 17–19, 2026

Times:
- Thursday: 9am – 4pm
- Friday: 9am – 9pm
- Saturday: 9am – 4pm

Location:
Bountiful City Park, 400 N 200 W, Bountiful, UT

Event highlights:
- Live recitations of the Declaration of Independence
- Interactions with reenactors of Founding Fathers, Founding Mothers, and other revolutionary figures
- Revolutionary War demonstrations (musket and cannon firing)
- Colonial life artisans, such as blacksmiths, coopers, chandlers, and calligraphers
- Continental Soldiers and veterans
- Food booths with hamburgers, hot dogs, Navajo tacos, salads, scones, cookies, and more
- Colonial Book and Gift Store
- Musicals and open dance events

The festival is designed for adults, teens, and kids, with dedicated activities and performances for each group. Admission is free. All are welcome to join in this semiquincentennial celebration.
