About
Did you know that until 2021, some US states still had laws criminalizing breastfeeding UNLESS it was done discreetly and modestly? (whatever that means...)
Then two years later, in 2023, the PUMP Act passed, giving all American mothers the right to pump at work. Let's just say... a LOT has happened when it comes to breastfeeding protections in the past 5 years.
The book Moms in Labor (HarperCollins, foreword by Misty Copeland) tells us what our options are that are right in front of us, that we didn't know we had. Daphne Delvaux champions and advances maternal rights and makes sure every mama stands firmly in her breastfeeding rights as a revolutionary act.
Lindsay White is the Founder and CEO of the Little Milk Bar and is leading the whole damn world in celebrating breastfeeding mothers, all while providing gorgeous nursing essentials that have never existed before.
Daphne Delvaux (The Mamattorney) and The Little Milk Bar are coming together to discuss lactation advocacy and lactation rights.
On July 17 at 6:30pm, these two rockstars are coming together at The King's English Bookshop for a conversation about breastfeeding, the legal protections, where we are, and where we are going.
Bring:
- the baby
- the friend who hasn't slept since 2022
- the partner to hold all the bags
- the colleague who is still pumping in the bathroom and needs to get pumped (!) up
