About
Bringing the wild to you.
Meet live hawks, owls and eagles during our monthly Birds of Prey show and learn about the crucial role these raptors play in our ecosystems. Educators from HawkWatch International will share the stories of their Raptor Ambassadors—birds that can’t return to the wild due to injury or imprinting—along with the importance of raptor research and how you can support their conservation efforts.
Raptors are apex predators at the top of the food chain, helping maintain balanced populations of their prey and serving as key indicators of environmental health. By monitoring their behavior and populations over time, scientists can identify ecological shifts like habitat loss, pollution and declines in prey species.
Humans and raptors rely on the same essential ecosystems—clean air, water and food. Through education, HawkWatch International connects these dots by building awareness that leads to informed decisions, stronger conservation efforts and greater support for protecting these fragile ecosystems.
