About

The title for this presentation is taken from a signature poem of Sister M. Madeleva Wolff, CSC, called "Travel Song." Her life was one of physical and spiritual journeys: to many places around the world and around the inner landscapes of the heart. Her relationships with Beauty and Truth were often sources of discovery, growth and creativity. As we hear of her life, its simple practices and deep beliefs that kept her "singing" through life, perhaps we will find some resonances in our own lives that impel us to "hurry on" with joy and wonder.

Sister M. Veronique Wiedower (CSC) was born and raised in a large family in San Diego, California. A product of Catholic education, she joined the Sisters of the Holy Cross after high school.

She has spent her adult life:
- teaching music and theology,
- accompanying people in adult vocation formation,
- engaging in various ministries in parishes and diocesan offices,
- serving on education and health care boards,
- providing leadership/administrative service for Holy Cross sponsored ministries.

She recently completed ten years as President of her Congregation, during which she traveled across four continents where Sisters of the Holy Cross live and minister.

Her education includes:
- Master of Arts in Theology (Liturgical Studies), University of Notre Dame, Indiana.
- Bachelor of Music, Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN.
- Certificate in Spiritual Direction, Mercy Center, Burlingame, CA.
