Not Oktoberfest returns to Brighton for eight weekends of food, music, games, and fall mountain energy at the Alpine Rose! Back for its second year, Not Oktoberfest brings together the best of fall in the Wasatch with live music, rotating Foodie Wars competitions, craft beer collaborations, and free family-friendly games every Saturday and Sunday.
From August 22 through October 11, join us at Alpine Rose for a full season of mountain weekends built around great food, friendly competition, and time well spent outdoors.
Foodie Wars returns as the centerpiece of Not Oktoberfest, bringing together Brighton’s culinary team and guest chefs from across Utah for a weekly head-to-head competition. Each weekend features a new themed battle ranging from burgers and pizza to pasta, wraps, and more. Guests can purchase tasting passes to sample the lineup, vote on their favorites, and help decide who takes home the title. A portion of every tasting pass supports the Utah Food Bank and the Boyne Forever Foundation.
Every weekend brings a rotating lineup of free, family-friendly games and competitions at Brighton. From cornhole tournaments and horseshoe matches to mechanical bull rides and axe throwing, there’s always something to try. Prizes include Brighton lift tickets, dining experiences, and partner giveaways. Kids can also enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone with bounce houses and games throughout the event.
Live music runs each day from 12–5pm.

- Aug 29-30 — Foodie War: Between the bread bash! Family Game: Cornhole Tournament
- Sept 5-7 — Foodie War: Brighton Anything goes showdown for both savory and sweet entries. Family Game: Ride the Mechanical Bull
- Sept 12-13 — Foodie War: King of the Crust! – The best pizza in town will be decided. Family Game: Horseshoes
- Sept 19-20 — Foodie War: The Alpine Burger Classic! Family Game: Axe Throwing
- Sept 26-27 — Foodie War: Wrap Wars! – Burritos, Gyro’s, Dumpling, etc. Family Game: Horseshoes
- Oct 3-4 — Foodie War: The Pasta Palooza. Family Game: Ride the Mechanical Bull
- Oct 10-11 — Foodie War: King of the Kettle Challenge. Family Game: Ride the Mechanical Bull, Cornhole, Axe Throwing and Horseshoes
