ABOUT CAM GALLAGHER & THE TASTY SOUL

Cam Gallagher & The Tasty Soul is one of the newest funk collectives in Salt Lake City and Nashville. It is also among the most prestigious that Utah and Tennessee have to offer. The Tasty Soul was founded on April 9th, 2021 by band leader/lead tenor saxophonist Cameron Gallagher.

The personnel of Cam Gallagher & The Tasty Soul pride themselves in having completed their Undergraduate and Graduate studies in Composition and Arranging, Jazz Performance, Commercial Music Performance, and music business at:
- The University of Utah
- BYU
- Snow College
- Belmont University

Though every member, also known as the Tasty Souls, is young, they have awe-inspiring professional music resumes. Band leader Cameron Gallagher takes great pride in hand-selecting his musicians, ensuring they have strong musical backgrounds and elite, professional experiences. He met many of his musicians while on world tours and collaborations, and during his studies at the University of Utah and Belmont University.

Each musician has toured and performed throughout the U.S.A., Mexico, Cuba, and Europe. They have played in prestigious/world-renowned music festivals such as:
- Umbria Jazz Festival
- Puerto Vallarta Jazz Festival
- Croatian International Jazz Festival
- The Telluride Jazz Festival
- JEN Conference

Cam and his musicians have performed with a list of world-renowned Grammy Nominated and Winning musicians such as Wycliffe Gordon, Randy Brecker, Victor Wooten, Chris Potter, Poncho Sanchez, Tom “Bones” Malone, Chase Barid, Kris Johnson, Sonny T of Prince and Cory Wong and the Wong Notes, Daru Jones of Jack White, Chris Bullock of Snarky Puppy, Jerry Cortez of Tower of Power, Jeff Coffin and Rashawn Ross of the Dave Matthews Band, to name a few. Cam is also currently the apprentice of multi-instrumentalist, Grammy Award-Winning Musician, and Professor at Vanderbilt University Jeff Coffin.

Cam Gallagher & The Tasty Soul takes great pride in having a young yet highly experienced musical cast. Each Tasty Soul contributes their unique musical identity. Despite being established only on April 9th, 2021, they constantly strive to excel in providing professional-grade music and performances, aiming to advance the music industry with each performance.
