Every year, the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) coordinates a nationwide Field Day event for amateur radio teams to get outdoors with radios. Different amateur radio teams across the country do different activities to celebrate Field Day.

What is a ham radio? Ham radios are a non-commercial, two-way communication platform for licensed individuals to experiment with radio technology, engage in recreational activities, and provide emergency communication when other systems fail. It's a hobby, a service, and a way to connect with others globally.

What is the SSL Amateur Radio Team? The South Salt Lake Amateur Radio Team (SSLART) is a group of amateur radio operators in the South Salt Lake area who support the city by providing communications during emergency situations and at public service events.
