About

The University Composer’s Collective found inspiration in art on view in the Utah Museum of Fine Arts’ exhibition For the Future: Collecting at the UMFA 2001–2026. Hear these never-before-heard compositions performed live by the Student Opera Guild in the UMFA Great Hall. This free performance celebrates human creativity through music and art.

Composed by Sadie Olsen; performed by Nahal Falahatimarvast, inspired by a white-ground oil flask attributed to the Quadrate Painter (450–420 BCE).
