About
Nihon Matsuri is the Utah Japan Festival, celebrating Japanese and Japanese American culture, history, and traditions. The event shares and teaches these traditions to the wider Utah community and gives younger generations of Japanese Americans a chance to connect with their heritage.
The festival takes place at 100 South, between 200 and 300 West in Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. Attendees can enjoy cultural programs, stage performances, martial arts demonstrations, exhibits, tea ceremonies, and temple tours at the Japanese Church of Christ and the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple.
Festival-themed T-shirts are available for $25 at the Information Booth. Nihon Matsuri welcomes people of all backgrounds interested in exploring Japanese culture and enjoying a community celebration downtown.
