About
“Relics and Their Humans” is a theatrical performance by theater artist Ain Gordon and percussionist Josh Quillen, presented by UtahPresents at Kingsbury Hall. Performances are October 28, 29, and 30, 2026, at 7:30 PM each evening.
This new work blends concert, theater, and memoir, inspired by Quillen’s family story. It journeys to his hometown of Dover, Ohio, exploring the years after his father’s ALS diagnosis through a recorded interview, personal journals, and a playlist. The performance portrays family, resilience, and love, and pays tribute to Quillen’s mother, highlighting her humor and strength.
Combining live music, storytelling, and theatrical design, the show features dramaturgy by Talvin Wilks and lighting by Jennifer Tipton. It explores memory, loss, and the objects that help us through these moments.
Tickets are $47, including fees. Every attendee must have a ticket, regardless of age; no lap sitting is allowed. E-tickets will be sent 48 hours before the show. ADA and ASL seating is available by calling the box office at 801-581-7100.
