Side by Side

Each year, high school students are invited to take part in a unique musical experience - performing onstage at Abravanel Hall alongside the Utah Symphony.

As part of this side-by-side program, students rehearse with:
- Assistant Conductor Jessica Rivero Altarriba
- Creative Partner David Robertson
- Music Director Designate Markus Poschner

They also receive focused sectional coaching from Utah Symphony musicians. After six rehearsals, they’ll join their mentors for an inspiring final performance conducted by Markus Poschner.
