About

Steakhouse at Home: The New York (June 6)

Saturday, June 6 @ 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Harmons Bangerter Crossing Cooking School
Chef Mark Benson

This month in our Steakhouse Series we will be featuring the mighty New York Steak! In this class you will learn how to prepare and cook the perfect steak with tips and tricks straight from the fine dining world. You’ll learn how to properly season and sear your steak in a cast iron pan, and finish it off by basting with butter, garlic, and fresh thyme.

Along with the perfect steak, you will also be introduced to some fresh summery sides. Chef Mark will instruct you on how to cook zucchini properly with high heat and just the right amount of acidity and sweetness from cherry tomatoes. Alongside the zucchini will be a lesser-known pasta called Fregola, a round semolina pasta that has been toasted. Mixed into the al dente pasta to round out the dish will be corn cut from the cob and fresh basil.

Don’t miss out on our popular Steakhouse series; this class sells out quickly!
