About
The 2026 Payson's Scottish Festival is a two-day celebration of Scottish culture on Friday, July 11th and Saturday, July 12th. Activities feature competitions, music, and traditional ceremonies.
Friday, July 11th highlights:
- 3:00 PM — Piobaireachd / Bagpiping Solo Competition (Piping Area)
- 4:00 PM — Strongman Competition (Athletics Field)
- 5:30 PM — Harp Irish Dance (Bandstand)
- 6:30 PM — Payson High School Pipe Band (Bandstand)
- 6:45 PM — Bonnie Knees Contest (Bandstand; open to anyone in a kilt)
- 7:00 PM — An Dragan Ceilteach Irish Dancers (Bandstand)
- 8:00 PM — Men of Worth (Bandstand)
Saturday, July 12th highlights:
- 9:45 AM — Clan & Bagpipe Band Parade (Main Street)
- Opening Ceremonies — Parkview Elementary School Playing Field
- 10:30 AM — Drum Major Competition (Library Square)
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM — Scottish Heavy Athletics
- Various times — Bandstand performances throughout the day
- 9:00 AM–2:00 PM — Highland Dance competitions (Parkview Elementary School Auditorium)
- 9:00 AM–4:00 PM — Piping & Drumming competitions
- Closing ceremony — approximately 6:00 PM, depending on competition completion times
Most activities take place at Parkview Elementary School and nearby venues in Payson. The festival schedule is subject to change.
