Comedy Church is one part stand-up comedy show (eg. The Standups, The Comedy Lineup), one part late-night interview (eg. The Late Show, Conan), and one part satirical church service (eg. The People’s Temple of the Disciples of Christ).
Comedy Church is hosted by Greg Kyte and Adam Broud. Both of them used to be insanely religious people but are now faithless and destined to burn in hell. In the long term, it’s kind of a bummer. But in the short term, it makes for a pretty good comedy show.
Each Comedy Church show features new comedians as well as religious topics. Although Adam and Greg are atheists, they’re not the a-hole type. Interviews focus on comedically learning about guests’ experiences rather than trying to find "gotcha" moments regarding religion. To emphasize this, past guests have included people of diverse backgrounds and members of various faiths.
