Upcoming The Art of Noticing: Birdsong Trail Edition, October 10th from 10:30am to Noon (Taught by KC, Birdsong Trail, $16) Adults and Teens

Slow down and tune in to the world around you. Wander Birdsong Trail with fresh eyes and ears as you notice the sights, sounds, textures, and small details of the landscape. Discover what emerges when you give yourself time to truly pay attention. Along the trail, we’ll pause to sketch, photograph, and observe the small things most people walk past. No art experience needed. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to slow down and notice. A small paperback journal and a pencil will be provided to record your observations.

We’ll meet at Rainbow Gardens, at the Rainbow Trailhead in Ogden, and hike outdoors for 60–90 minutes. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, dress for the weather, and bring anything else you’d like to use for sketching or photographing your observations.

About the instructor: KC Peek (she/her) is an award-winning mixed media artist based in Ogden, Utah. She is known for her unique dioramas made from thrift store finds, her great-grandmother’s costume jewelry, and other memorabilia. KC also paints delicate watercolors, often focusing on botanicals, and explores mixed media techniques to create striking 2D and relief artwork.
