Wait, what??? Yep! A drop-in jewelry bar. Stop by and pick out parts for a unique custom-made ring or vintage silver spoon ring.

Rene will be offering his drop-in ring bar. Choose a stone, ring size, bezel (the metal that holds the stone), and silver band style. Or choose from a wide variety of vintage silver spoon handles for a custom spoon ring. After you’ve made your choices, 16th-generation silversmith Rene will create your ring while you shop. Your ring will be ready in less than 30 minutes, and you’ll receive a ring box to keep it in.

Prices start at about $75+ and vary depending on the options you choose. Open to anyone who wants a ring.

Rene Venegas is a 16th-generation silversmith. His family was among the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. Rene has been making jewelry since childhood, when he worked in his father’s silver shop in Bogota, Colombia. He has taught jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. He has also been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project, and KTVX Good Things Utah.
