Summer is here and the Utah traditions of Pioneer Day and "Pie and Beer Day" are upon us! Pioneer Day is celebrated on July 24th to commemorate the first Mormon settlers arriving in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. Pie and Beer Day is also celebrated on the 24th where tasty pies and delicious bites are paired with local craft beers & ciders.
Menu
- Beer Cheese & Pretzel Board: Warm cheddar ale dip with soft pretzels and pickles
- Cheeseburger Hand Pies: Cheddar-beer pie crust; caramelized onions, cheddar, burger sauce
- Utah Sweet Corn Pasta Salad: Cotija, lime, herbs, chile
- Cherry Slab Pie: Flaky butter crust and vanilla bean whipped cream
- Local craft beer and hard cider tastings
- Optional mocktail pairing available
Important information: This class is 21+, and you must bring a valid government-issued photo ID to participate, even if you will not be drinking. We're required to verify ID at check-in, and unfortunately, we won't be able to admit any guests without one.

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class: You'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment. Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above. You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
