About

The 2026 Story Crossroads Summit & Festival offers virtual workshops and free, live in-person performances featuring youth, community, and professional story artists. The event runs May 2 and May 4–6, 2026, with activities at three libraries, a park, and outreach to local schools.

Schedule:
- Saturday, May 2, 2026 — 9:00–10:30 AM: Virtual Workshop — Kristin Pedemonti: Narrative Practices That Expand Perspective
- Saturday, May 2, 2026 — Noon–1:30 PM: Virtual Workshop — Chetter Galloway: Putting the POP in Your Story
- Saturday, May 2, 2026 — 3:00–4:30 PM: Virtual Workshop — Randel McGee: Punch It Up with Puppets & Props
- Monday, May 4, 2026 — 6:00–7:30 PM: Performance at Murray City Library with Randel McGee, Kristen Clay, and 10 community/youth tellers
- Tuesday, May 5, 2026 — 9:30–10:20 AM; 10:30–11:20 AM; 11:30 AM–12:20 PM: Pavilion 2, Murray City Park with Paul Boruff, Kristen Clay, Betty Sawyer, Randel McGee, Ted Erekson, Karla Huntsman, and community/youth tellers
- Tuesday, May 5, 2026 — 6:30–8:00 PM: Performance at Pleasant Grove Library with Betty Sawyer, Ted Erekson, and 10 community/youth tellers
- Wednesday, May 6, 2026 — 6:30–8:00 PM: Performance at American Fork Library with Paul Boruff, Karla Huntsman, and 10 community/youth tellers

Featured tellers include Randel McGee, Kristen Clay, Ted Erekson, Betty Sawyer, Paul Boruff, and Karla Huntsman. There are also 43 community tellers, including youth (K–12) and older adults.

In-person performances are held at:
- Murray City Library, 166 E. 5300 S., Murray, UT 84107
- Pleasant Grove Library, 30 E. Center St., Pleasant Grove, UT 84062
- American Fork Library, 64 S. 100 E., American Fork, UT 84003
- Murray City Park (Pavilion 2), 495 E. 5300 S., Murray, UT 84107

Attendance at performances is free; donations welcomed.

Virtual workshop pricing:
- $25 for a live session plus recording
- $5 for live access only (no recording)
- Summit Pass $65: access to all three workshops, on-demand recordings, and additional performance recordings

There are field trip options on May 5 (in-person or virtual).
