About

Join us for the opening of “How Did We Get Here? Stories of Migration and Home” at the Moab Museum on Thursday, October 22.

  • 9:00 AM–5:00 PM: Free admission all day for locals and visitors
  • 5:30 PM: Special members’ opening reception

How did we all arrive in the Moab Valley, and what makes it home? This community exhibition explores the diverse journeys, personal histories, and shared experiences of Moab locals, new and old.

In commemoration of America’s semiquincentennial, this final exhibition of the year reflects on movement, migration routes, family legacies, and the connections that tie our community together.

Discover artwork, personal memories, historic artifacts, and storytelling objects—from seeds planted on newcomers’ very first days in town to historic printing mastheads and paintings passed down by early valley families.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a curious visitor, come wander through the gallery, connect with neighbors, and celebrate the stories that make Moab home.

Museum members: Don’t miss the exclusive evening reception starting at 5:30 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
