In parallel with her exhibition at the Kimball Art Center, All Sketches Wish to Be Real, Alexandra Fuller, Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, and Kimball Art Center invite you to a hands-on exploration of the Great Salt Lake.
Guided by a naturalist and inspired by Alex's cyanotypes, participants will experiment with photogram and cyanotype processes. Each participant will collect objects from the lake's edge to create their own photogram, and together the group will make a collaborative piece, embracing curiosity, discovery, and play.
Aligned with Swaner's mission to connect people with the natural world and with their current exhibition Life on the Edge, this workshop takes place at the threshold between land and water in a cold, wet, and salty environment. Dress appropriately for wild weather.
Practical details:
- Boots are available to borrow.
- Optional carpooling from Park City with Swaner staff is available.
- The specific location on the lake will be shared with registrants once signed up.
