Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a large, family-friendly festival that runs from August 8 through October 11, 2026. It takes place every Saturday and Sunday, plus Labor Day, from noon to 6 pm. Admission is free.
Attendees can enjoy:
- Live music and activities
- Traditional Bavarian food
- Over 50 varieties of beer, including German and local Utah brews
- An array of local vendors in the Oktoberfest Marktplatz
- Games and entertainment in the Halle tent
- Alphorn performances on Hidden Peak and Chickadee Hill
- Live art installations
- Family activities, including more than 21 summer attractions such as the Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, and Kids Inflatables
Food choices highlight German favorites like bratwurst, weisswurst, sauerkraut, apple strudel, and pretzels. Beer and food are purchased à la carte. Gluten-free and non-alcoholic beverage options are available.
Oktoberfest is a cashless event; all major credit, debit, and mobile payments are accepted. Reverse ATMs are onsite for those needing debit cards.
Parking at the resort is limited and costs $15 in most lots ($30 for valet). Free shuttles run to and from the Park & Ride at 9400 S. Highland Dr, with shuttle service operating every event day. Carpooling and use of shuttles or rideshares are strongly encouraged.
No pets are allowed on the festival grounds, in the lodges, or in vehicles except by special permit. The event is held in a non-smoking area, with designated smoking zones provided.
