Join us for a four-day hands-on journey where we turn "don't touch that!" into "I made this!"
Our Junior Chefs Summer Camp is designed specifically for beginners. We skip the complicated jargon and dive straight into the joy of cooking. Over four days, your child will learn the essential "Big Three" of the kitchen: Safety, Seasoning, and Skill. From mastering the bridge cut with a knife to flipping the perfect pancake, we empower kids to become helpful, confident contributors to family mealtimes.
Ages: 8–12 years old
Skills and Techniques:
- Learn basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety
- Explore different flavors and ingredients
- Work as a team to prepare and serve food the right way
- Gain confidence in the kitchen and discover their inner chef
Daily Menu:
- Day 1 — Kitchen Basics:
- Knife Skills
- Chicken Fajitas
- Day 2 — Baking Beginnings:
- Biscuits
- Muffins
- Brownies
- Day 3 — Lunch Basics:
- Burgers
- Fries
- Pickles
- Pickled Red Onion
- Day 4 — Intro to Breakfast:
- Fry/Scramble Eggs
- Pancakes
- Hash Browns from Scratch
- Sausage Patties

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class:
- You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by professional chef instructors.
- You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment.
- Kids will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class.
Safety and dress:
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
- Long hair should be tied back.
- Long pants are requested; short sleeves are okay but not sleeveless.
