TRACE: Community Printmaking Workshop (Part 1 of 2)

TRACE is a collaborative printmaking workshop inspired by the work of contemporary artist Julie Mehretu and led by the Saltgrass Printmakers.

Using tracing and relief printing, participants will observe the surrounding cityscape and create individual prints that contribute to a larger shared image of the city.

By layering many perspectives (both street-level and bird’s-eye views), the workshop will build a collective portrait of a place shaped by the community.

No prior drawing or printmaking experience is required. All materials will be provided. Registration required.

This is a two-part workshop. On June 6 we'll create the tracings. Then return for Part 2 on July 11 or July 18 to print your designs.

Sign up for one of the three sessions on June 6: 11am–12:30pm, 1–2:30pm, or 3–4:30pm. All sessions will be the same.
