Pumpkin Toss

ASME's largest event of the year, the Pumpkin Toss, takes place Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Green Canyon High School Field. Join a team to build a trebuchet or come watch pumpkins launch at targets, culminating in a 1,000+ pound pumpkin drop to crush a car. The event features food trucks and entertainment and draws one of the largest audiences of any USU-sponsored community event.

Organized by the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department, the event is open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, the general public, parents, and prospective students.
