Have you heard about birria tacos? Originally made with goat, these sweet, sour, and mildly spicy delights are now commonly made with pork or beef. Join Chef Tara in creating this iconic dish first by creating a savory beef stew, then the tender succulent meat is stuffed into a taco, pan-fried, and dipped back into the stew. Now popular as southern California street food, our version of this traditional dish from Jalisco will be complemented by other regional sides. Don't miss this culinary adventure!

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class: You'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment. Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above. You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
