About

Book-it to Blackridge

Date/Time:
Saturday, November 7, 2026
8:00 am–6:00 pm

Event Details:
Book-it to Blackridge is a FREE unsupported endurance trail run. Participants are responsible for ALL trail support: water, snacks, sports drinks, lights if needed, and gear.

  • The contest is based on the number of laps completed; it is not a timed event.
  • Runners have 10 hours to complete as many laps as they can (8:00 am–6:00 pm).
  • Laps do not need to be run all at once; you may run some in the morning, take a break, and return later.
  • Every time a runner leaves and returns to the event, they must check in with the Volunteers at the Registration Tent.
  • The cut-off time for runners to be on the trail for their final lap is 5:30 pm.
  • Each lap is approximately 7 miles.

How it works:
Upon arriving at the Blackridge Trailhead, register or check in if you registered online. You will be issued a race number and can begin your run. At the top of the loop there will be a book in a Rubbermaid bin. Flip through the pages, find the page number that matches your race number, and tear that page out. Finish your loop and return to the trailhead.

Show your torn page to the Volunteers at the tent to receive a NEW race number, then run to the top of the loop and tear out the page that matches your new number. The runner with the most pages is the winner.

Registration:
This is a free event. You may register online before November 6, 2026, or sign up on-site at the trailhead. All runners must sign a waiver at the trailhead to participate if they did not register online. We strongly encourage you to make a trail donation and support the trails we love! All donations will go directly into the trail building fund.

Course:
Runners will run the Blackridge Trail to the top of Eric’s Trail, where the book will be in a Rubbermaid bin at the intersection of Eric’s and Mustang, then descend Mustang to Eric’s and back down Blackridge to the trailhead. Each lap is approximately 7 miles.
