Friday Night Lights: Trail Edition
September 18 • 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Friday Night Lights is a fun family adventure on the Herriman Trails at night. It is FREE to the community. It’s perfect for families who want the unique experience of hiking the Herriman Hills after dark.
Options:
- Run, walk, or hike around the Mound (5k).
- Go out-and-back for a shorter adventure (stay on designated trails).
- For participants new to hiking on the Herriman Trails, a Friends of Herriman Trails Committee member will lead a guided hike around the mound beginning at 8:00 pm.
Logistics:
- Park in the Blackridge Reservoir parking lot. Do NOT park on residential streets.
- Bring flashlights, water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing, and all the glow things you can find!
- Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult.
- FOH Trails will have a basic first aid kit; call 911 in case of an emergency.
- While hiking, look for hidden water bottles containing stickers and other prizes!
- The event ends at 9:30 pm, so plan your hike accordingly.
- Event may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
- Donations to help maintain and build more trails will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
