About

A Celebration of Color and Conservation.

Explore the vibrant alpine meadows of Alta during the peak wildflower season at the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation's annual Wasatch Wildflower Festival! Since 1996, this event has been a local staple in the Wasatch Mountains, bringing the community together and fostering stewardship.

This free, family-friendly event features both guided and self-guided hikes, along with hands-on activities and educational programs. Along the way you'll have the chance to learn from expert naturalists about local wildflowers, ecosystems, and conservation efforts — all while soaking in the beauty of Alta in full bloom.

As one of Alta’s busiest days of the year, please recreate responsibly by following Leave No Trace principles and all mountain safety guidelines to help preserve this ecosystem for generations to come. Educate yourself and tread lightly.
