Salt Lake Community College, in collaboration with The Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City and Artes de México en Utah, will present the 8th Edition of “LatinArte – Our Roots” exhibition and the 14th annual “Sor Juana Spanish Poetry Contest.”

Local Latino artists will be included in the exhibition at SLCC’s George S. & Dolores Dore Eccles Art Gallery, where they will showcase their talents alongside their peers in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and installations.

Additionally, high school students and adults residing in Utah are given the opportunity to share their voices with the community and be part of a beautiful literary tradition in Utah. Their previously unpublished poems or prose in Spanish will be published in the Sor Juana Poetry Catalog. Winning texts will win awards and be featured in the 2026 Utah Arts Festival and other cultural events in the state.
