Whispers in the Dark 2026

Join us for an evening of eerie, mysterious, and hair-raising tales at Whispers in the Dark: Layton’s Scary Storytelling Festival!

Presented by the Davis Arts Council and Layton City in partnership with the Weber State Storytelling Festival and the Utah Storytelling Guild. This FREE festival features spine-tingling stories for all ages, plus seasonal vendors, food trucks, and more.

Featuring Guatemala-born, Chicago-based, internationally acclaimed storyteller Nestor Gomez, alongside featured regional storytellers Mo Reynolds and Sam Payne. Also including performances by local storytellers and graduates of the Scary Storytelling Workshop Series.

Schedule:
- 3:00-6:00 PM – All-ages spooky stories
- 6:00-7:00 PM – Dinner Break
- 7:00-9:00 PM – PG-13 Scary Stories for teens and adults
