Not Oktoberfest

Not Oktoberfest returns to Brighton for eight weekends of food, music, games, and fall mountain energy at the Alpine Rose! Back for its second year, the event brings together fall in the Wasatch with live music, rotating Foodie Wars competitions, craft beer collaborations, and free family-friendly games every Saturday and Sunday. From August 22 through October 11, join us at Alpine Rose for a season of mountain weekends built around great food, friendly competition, and time outdoors.

Foodie Wars brings together Brighton’s culinary team and guest chefs from across Utah for a weekly head-to-head competition. Each weekend features a themed battle, from burgers and pizza to pasta, wraps, and more.

Tasting passes are $25 per person and include samples of every participating entry and one vote to help crown the winner. Passes are sold at the event each weekend and are limited to 200 guests per day. Each person must have their own wristband; get yours when you arrive. Guests with wristbands can sample the featured entries at participating restaurants throughout the event, while supplies last. The restaurant with the most votes earns bragging rights and the opportunity to defend its title in any category it chooses next year. A portion of every tasting pass sale benefits the Utah Food Bank and the Boyne Forever Foundation.

Free, family-friendly games and competitions rotate each weekend, including cornhole tournaments, horseshoes, mechanical bull rides, and axe throwing. Prizes include Brighton lift tickets, dining experiences, and partner giveaways. Kids can enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone with bounce houses and games. Live music runs each day from 12–5pm.

• September 12–13: Music by DJQ. Foodie War: King of the Crust – The Best Pizza in Town Will Be Decided. Family game: Lasso & Roping Challenge.
• September 19–20: Music by DJQ. Foodie War: The Alpine Burger Classic. Family game: Axe Throwing.
• September 26–27: Music by DJQ. Foodie War: Wrap Wars – Burritos, Gyros, Dumplings, and More. Family game: Horseshoes.
• October 3–4: Music by DJQ. Foodie War: The Pasta Palooza. Family game: Ride the Mechanical Bull.
• October 10–11: Music by DJQ. Foodie War: King of the Kettle Challenge. Family games: Ride the Mechanical Bull, Cornhole, Axe Throwing, and Horseshoes.
