Looking for a dating event that’s a little less awkward and a lot more entertaining? Date My Mate is a dating mixer where people pitch their single friends to a live audience using short presentation decks. Think part comedy show, part matchmaking event, part singles mixer.
Presentations begin between 8:30–9 PM and feature friends making the case for why their favorite single person deserves a date. Expect plenty of laughs, a little secondhand embarrassment, and some genuinely sweet moments along the way.
After the presentations, the event transitions into a singles mixer where attendees can mingle, meet people from the audience, and maybe even connect with someone they saw on stage.
Color-coded wristbands help indicate relationship status and orientation, making conversations a little easier and eliminating some of the guesswork.
Whether you’re single, supporting a friend, or just curious to see what happens, Date My Mate is one of Salt Lake City’s most unique social events.
