The 9th and 9th Street Festival is a neighborhood event celebrating its 33rd year in 2026. It takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10am to 6pm at the intersection of 900 East and 900 South in Salt Lake City, UT. The festival is free and open to everyone, welcoming families, kids, and pets.
Festival features:
- Vendors and exhibitors along 900 South: artists, makers, local businesses, services, political candidates, and nonprofit organizations.
- Food vendors located north of the main intersection and throughout the festival area, offering a variety of prepared and packaged foods and treats.
- Music performances.
- Activities for children, including face painting. The return of the children’s art and activity area is planned for 2026.
- Classic bike rodeo and several music performances will take place midday around Windsor.
Accessibility and facilities:
- ADA drop-off zones at Lincoln Street and 900 South, or north of Belmont at 900 South.
- Portable toilets and wash stations near 850 South 900 East; additional restrooms are available in local businesses.
Other notes:
- Local shops and restaurants will participate with sidewalk sales and specials.
- Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or take a scooter to the event.
- Dogs are welcome; use caution if pavement is hot.
- Masks are strongly encouraged.
